Description
Carson Valley Community Theatre is proud to announce auditions for "A Bad Year For Tomatoes" by John Patrick, directed by Dave Josten. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Sides will be available for review 30 minutes prior to auditions for all roles. Cast includes 3 men and 4 women ages 20-70+. Production dates are weekends September 25 thru October 11, 2015. A famous television actress, Mary Marlowe, seeking to "get away from it all", rents a tiny New England hamlet. Nosy neighbors causes Mary to invent a mad, homicidal sister, Sadie - who is locked in an upstairs room, but escapes occasionally. The handyman falls for Sadie, Christian ladies decide to help Sadie, which causes Mary to send Sadie off to Boston - which brings the sheriff and suspicion of murder! The uproarious doings will keep audiences laughing right up to the final curtain.
