The purpose of this class is to inform the family caregiver how to care for a loved one suffering from Alheimer's disease or dementia, as well as to handle common behaviors associated with the disease.

To understand and know how to deal with the common behaviors associated with Alzheimer's disease or dementia.
To understand how to provide care, including daily activities such as bathing and eating.
To be able to recognize the signs of depression and understand that a person who cares for someone with Alzheimer's disease or dementia is at risk for depression.
