Thunderbirds Visit to be Presented
In August, the Minden Tahoe Airport will join the select group of airports that have hosted the US Air
Force flying team, the Thunderbirds. The team makes only 40 appearances each year, and a significant amount of energy has gone into securing the visit.
With the visit and dates secured, much needs to be done to make the event, which we are told could draw 10-15,000 viewers, run smoothly for all involved. MTA Manager Bobbi Thompson and County staff have begun developing committees and arranging support, but more will be needed.
At the luncheon Bobbi will outline the tasks ahead and how businesses and non-profits can participate and earn from the event.
