What better place to talk about the role of agriculture in Carson Valley than at our annual Harvest Festival Luncheon at Corley Ranch? From water to green space to solar, the ranches are truly at the heart of Douglas County. But what is the reality of ranching in the 21st century? What do the ranchers need from the community so they can survive and better yet, prosper in the future? We will hear from representatives of ranches and the Farm Bureau on this crucial subject.
Our host, the Corley Ranch, is also our Business of the Month, and as always, the Corleys will have a variety of pumpkins (if you think there's only one kind, you haven't been to Corley Ranch) as our raffle prizes...
