Carson City, Nevada-The Nevada Division of State Parks encourages Nevadans of all ages to step outside on National Kids to Parks Day to celebrate the great outdoors and support the First Lady Obama's Let's move outside! intitiative.
"We want to inspire children to, at least occasionally, put down their phones and spend time outdoors," said Eric Johnson, deputy administrator of the Nevada Division of State Park. "Programs and interpretive events are scheduled year round at parks throughout the state to help reconnect our increasingly urban population with the real world."
