Description
Youth and their families will experience both the history of the Pony Express and learn about its role today during the annual re-ride in June, between St. Joseph, Missouri and Sacramento, California. Participants will witness mochila mail exchanges by horseback, hear a Chautauqua by rider Warren Upson who was a rider at Lake Tahoe and in Carson Valley, work with ham radio operators to learn how they assist the riders today, partake in a photo booth, go on a scavenger hunt, and enjoy craft activities.
